My husband Ray and I live in Oceanside, California where I enjoy working from my home design studio. We have three grown children and two precious grandkids that have stolen our hearts completely. My love for the beach flows over into each room of my home, including the studio.

Hello and welcome! My name is Kitty Everett and I'm so glad you're here. I'm a beach girl at heart, and love all things creative. I enjoy entertaining, decorating, and celebrating life with family and friends. I love teaching and using my God given talents to inspire, encourage and equip others, and my hope is that this blog will help to do so, offering not only ideas for inspiration, but tutorials and free downloads for others to enjoy. I'm a believer in Jesus Christ and seek to follow Him heart, mind, soul and strength. I invite you to take this journey with me as I share from my studio, my home, and my life.

Several years ago I was introduced to torch-fired enamels and I was captivated by the beauty of the glass layered on the beads. When I landed my first big order for a boutique, I had difficulty finding supplies that would work and started importing them from China. My Etsy Shop made a shift to carrying mostly supplies at that point. I began working with marginalized women and refugees in the Middle East, and I put most of my creative energy into doing product development and teaching in Lebanon and Jordan. It was wonderful that I could supply them with beads and findings. I began exploring other ways to use the flower bead caps and filigree beads that I sell in my shop, and am finally beginning to get some of the new  jewelry listed for sale.

As I look back, I am grateful to see how each step in my career has led me to this point. Each new skill has built on the previous ones. Reaching back to when my kids were little and I wanted to stay home with them, up to the present where I still work from home so I can be available for my grandkids, and so I can continue my volunteer work with refugees, here are the highlights of my career:

  • Floral and Craft Designer
  • Professional Faux Finishing and Stenciling
  • Custom Window Treatments
  • Gift Shop Owner
  • Art Licensing
  • Jewelry Designer and Teacher

Embrace the Journey Mixed Media Canvas, textured stenils, handmade paper, laser cut wood, layered metal flowers, calligraphy, Aqua, teal and cobalt colors,

All of these skills work seamlessly together in my artwork, in my home, and with my volunteer work. I am blessed indeed. Now I am excited to have this opportunity to share them with you!
