Life is a wonderful gift that should be celebrated well and often. I believe that nice matters, so gathering with family & friends, whether it’s a simple meal or a special occasion, always means that a pretty table is set…well, almost always! Good food is served, and thanks are given. My hope is that my home is a welcoming place where people feel at ease.

I believe there is an art to setting a table that is both beautiful and functional. I love some of those fantastic tablescapes I see on Pinterest, but they are often not user friendly. Join me in discovering ways to make our families feel cherished, and our celebrations special, while keeping them simple. Sometimes it does call for that over the top treatment, so we’ll add those ideas into the mix from time to time.

I will be sharing recipes and meal plans that are family favorites. It will be a good excuse to get them written out and tested so when my sons call and say “Mom, you know that curry dish you make…” I can just send it their way. Good food is one of the cornerstones to any gathering. My friend Craig used to join us weekly for dinner when we lived in New York, and he would say “It’s a party in my mouth!” when he would bite into something he enjoyed. I’ve adopted that phrase and it always feel good when I make something that is full of wonderful flavors and textures, creating that party.

When I worked in the Art Licensing field, I designed paper goods for different companies, and I really enjoy an excuse to jump in and create printables for special occasions. I am looking forward to sharing free downloads of those with you. There will be invitations, placecards, cupcake toppers, thank you tags, banners and more. Subscribe to my blog to receive notifications when I add something new.
